step of your parenting journey.

Mother and Baby on Floor

Welcome to The Village

We provide mental health support for parents (and parents-to-be).

From experience, we know that the parenting journey can be stressful, overwhelming, and sometimes leave us grieving. These moments require special care and we are ready to help.

Moms with kids need support sometimes. We understand what parents go through and offer mental health services for parents and parents-to-be.

Who we serve

We are licensed in the State of Illinois and offer VIRTUAL and IN-PERSON therapy. We also have limited VIRTUAL therapy for the State of Missouri and Minnesota.  If you, or someone you know, is in need of support in their parenting journey,  please reach out.

We offer therapy services for pregnant patients, those trying to conceive, and those who have suffered from a miscarriage or stillbirth pregn

How we help

All of our therapists are equipped to work with whatever challenges life brings. We also have special training with the challenges and joys of the parenting journey. We provide virtual and in-person therapy with flexible scheduling. We accept insurance and offer a sliding fee scale.

We meet you where you are, in whatever life struggles you want to work through. We also have advanced training in the challenges that the parenting journey can bring.

From sleepless nights to sweet moments, endless messes to surprise hugs, the highs and lows of being a parent can be a rollercoaster of emotions. And just like a rollercoaster, some of us are having the time of our lives, others are gripping the handles for dear life, and most are somewhere in between. If you’re not “loving every minute”, you’re not alone. We’re here to help you feel more in control, and reset the balance of joy and challenge in parenting.

We believe everyone can use support during this constantly changing, pivotal time—you don't have to be at your low point, or even unhappy, to benefit from therapy. We love to work with pregnant people to help them stay present through their experience and prevent any postpartum troubles.

Having a baby can bring exhaustion like you've never experienced, identity changes, and an avalanche of responsibility. It's no wonder at least 20% of parents (and probably many more) experience mental health struggles in the postpartum year. We're here to listen and develop a plan of action that can help you feel more like yourself again.

Fertility challenges are so common, but are usually suffered in silence. The invasive questions from unassuming friends and loved ones, the painful procedures, the cost, the excruciating waiting.  We are here to support you as you walk this path.

There are many struggles and challenges that are specific to women., outside of her reproductive journey. We understand the need to have a safe place to discuss these challenges with people who understand your journey.

We understand from firsthand experience just how painful the loss of a baby can be. As one grieving mom said, "my baby was tiny, but my dreams of our life together were enormous". Sometimes it feels like well-meaning friends and family just don't know the right thing to say. At The Village, we'll support your grief on your own terms.

Alls well that ends well? Not necessarily for the parents that experience the terror of a traumatic birth and/or NICU stay. Even if that "happy ending" arrives eventually—you're home from the hospital and all is well—we know that nightmares, flashbacks, and chronic anxiety can simmer under the surface for years. Processing memories and feelings can help guide the past into the past.

There are so many beautiful ways to make a family, And even though there's joy and miracles involved with every unique journey to parenthood, we can't always avoid sadness, discouragement, and worry. We're here for all your emotions, from elation to doubt, that can come up as an adoptive, surrogacy, or birth parent, or as a gestational carrier.
